No More Running Away.

I finished of my sketchbook. This makes me happy for two reasons:

1. i have not finished a sketchbook so fast before. (especially since being at art center)

2. i’m happy with the work inside.

Here are some more scans of it.

I really enjoy the three spreads at the bottom, mainly for their raw stream of consciousness feeling. The more constructed works seem obviously more deliberate and I feel drawn to them as well. Especially the spread of what looks like conjoined twins. Their expressions are very telling and also I like how they look joined but are also separated by the page break. It seems like there is a lot going on there.

Agreed, the twins are amazing. Your contributions to the last three definitely make them what they are. That was a lot of fun. We’ll have to do it again soon.

Its really amazing to look into someone’s sketchbook. While I looked at it last time when I was with you, its more of a glance, and page flip. But here, I can really inspect your work, your mind and thinking process. Its great to see your work moving forward. I cant wait to see what is next.

Also, it would be good to see how you work on a piece in process. While you work on it, take a picture every couple hours, or days. Cool.
