Quick Update
I’m really bad at thinking about the future more than two months in advance. FINLAND I got back form Scandinavia two and a half weeks ago. I’ve only got a few bucks to my name, no apartment and to many belongings. I’m trying to sell everything. Get rid of it all! Finland in April is [...]
Don’t tell me not to do that.
“Fuck you, fuck you and fuck you!” “Right or wrong, people can always piss back. And even if you play the victim, that’s still piss on your face.”
Alone, On A Bike, In New Mexico
New Mexico was an incredibly hard place to photograph. The place is so beautiful, I found it difficult to make anything that went beyond that beauty. For me, these serve as a reminder of a good summer spent in a great place. I guess that’s the difficulty in road trip photography. We tend to react to the surface of [...]
Daniel
I have six brothers. This is Daniel, my second youngest brother. I have been photographing my family for three years now. I usually spend more time with Daniel than any of my other siblings. We get along and he doesn’t hide when I have a camera around. I think he likes the attention. He is a wrestler; [...]
Nasty Nights
My neighborhood at night is the shit. A couple nights a week I’ll go on a long walk. It helps me clear my mind and see the quieter side of Myrtle ave and Broadway. There are lot of great cars and people lurking in the distance. -nasty night bike rides
Sometimes I forget I live in New York City.
But seriously, those of you posting have been making great work. Your posts, the New York Art Book Fair, New York in general and Lil B have been keeping me going the last few weeks. It was nice to read Ysa’s thoughts on where she is, as far as her career goes, at the moment. [...]
Zombies and Police
Last night I went to go meet up with a friend at a bar in Greenwich Village. I didn’t realize that the Halloween Parade was going on there. I walked out of the subway into a mass of thousands of intoxicated people covered in makeup and smelling of alcohol. I was afraid I was going to get [...]
The Biggest Fire Ever
Earlier this month, I spent four days in Jeffesonville, NY for the Eddie Adams Workshop. It was like boot-camp for photographers. We were up for breakfast at 7am and usually didn’t get to bed until 3am or so each night. If you are a photojournalist, do everything you can to get in. I am guessing [...]
“There is always a way out!”
I’ve had too much time on my hands this past week. I moved into my new apartment seven days ago. I wont have a real room until the end of this week after we cut a hole in one wall and build another. I’ve spent most my time meeting every photographer I can, selling camera [...]
Not a complete thought
9/24/10 I am on a bus going from Manhattan to Albany. I lost my headphones, so I’m going to have to listen to the whispers of the other passengers and sounds of the bus. I came down to the city six days ago to pick up a box of processed film from CRC and to [...]
