This vacation up and down California has been amazing on some levels and just disappointing in others. I have mentally and physically relaxed and really sunk into endless summer lifestyle. I have seen my best friends and people I have not seen in 4+ years. Extremely weird how most things are the same, but then something sneaks up and catches you off guard.
I had coffee with a girl from high school. Old friends I don’t talk to anymore are doing things. Healthcare Lawyer, Sexual Therapist, Environmental research scientist, life time student, single mother, and dead beat. I almost did not want to hear about these things. Change is scary. I feel I am pursing something I truly love, a completely valid career. But in comparison to a friend who just bought a brand new BMW, I question myself. Then I correct my thinking. I am living a life I love, soon to be launching my very own career. It is frightening and exhilarating. There isn’t enough time to learn everything in the next six months. But I cant fucking wait to graduate.
In other news, seeing your good friends do amazing things is great. I hung out with Eunice San Miguel. She drove me from West LA to Pasadena, back through Echo Park, Hollywood, Beverly Hills and back to West LA. Over dinner, she illustrated my portrait. Man, she is getting really good.
