as of yet, I have not had the chance to answer some the questions some of you asked of my last post. for this I am sorry, but things are going fast, I need more hours in the day. no excuses, but give me more time.
here is a new painting I did that feels like an epiphany. it was a simple line drawing at first on black gesso that i had no idea what to do with for months. It stayed in my sketchbook week after week, staring back at me, with no answers. Finally, last friday? or thursday? maybe saturday…. I’ve no clue, I started to paint with acrylic inks and this was born. I love it. I’m in love with how it looks. I didnt use any line or rendering techniques that i usually carry up my sleeves. this was fully responsive. The second piece here is handled more clearly, but i feel it looses something because of that, but it also looks as tho I kinda know what I’m doing. I’ve yet to find a middle ground between the raw and the controlled.
This week I might hear whether I got a scholarship or not. We shalt see.
